The Opportunity:
 
VeSync is seeking a Marketing Proofreader (6 Months Temp)  to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and clarity of written content across our 4 brands (Levoit, Cosori, Pawsync, Etekcity) on both print and digital platforms including: manuals, app content, recipe books, blogs, paid ads, video assets, and website copy. 
 
This role sits within the Copy & Editorial Department, allowing you to collaborate with Copywriters, Technical Writers, and Copy Editors to maintain copy standards, refine content, and uphold each brand voice. With a diverse range of copy and content to oversee, this Proofreader must be able to work effectively and quickly to meet tight deadlines.   
 
What you will do at VeSync:
  • Review and proofread a wide range of content, including product listings, website copy, emails, blogs, video scripts, user manuals, print materials, packaging, social media content, and visual assets.
  • Edit content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, clarity, and overall readability.
  • Ensure consistency in voice, tone, style, terminology, and formatting in accordance with company brand and editorial guidelines.
  • Verify facts, figures, product information, and dates for accuracy.
  • Partner with writers, editors, designers, and cross-functional teams to clarify content and resolve inconsistencies or ambiguities.
  • Ensure all published content adheres to established style guides, copyright requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Support the development and ongoing refinement of editorial standards, content policies, and proofreading processes.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring content quality and consumer usability are not compromised.
What you bring to the role:
  • Strong command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a marketing, creative, or content-focused environment.
  • Strong editing and writing skills, with the ability to adapt across creative and technical content and both print and digital platforms.
  • Proficiency with editorial style guides and editing standards, such as the AP Stylebook or Chicago Manual of Style.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and consistency.
  • Experience with consumer products, electronics, home appliances, mobile apps, and/or smart devices is a plus.
  • Exposure to technical writing or technical documentation is preferred but not required.
