Job description

Performs accounting duties in a proficient and efficient manner. This includes maintaining andreconciling the General Ledger.

  • Coordinates accounting functions and financial report preparation.
  • Oversees treasury functions and cash flow projections.
  • Oversees all grand accounting/reporting for compliance.
  • Leads annual external audit process/liaison with external auditors.
  • Performs monthly financial analysis/disseminates to management as monitoring/decision making tools.
  • Reviews/coordinates operational/capital budgeting processes.
  • Provides tutelage to staff on various aspects of accounting procedures.
  • Provides key management with financial reporting to enhance operational performance.
  • Provides financial guidance to departmental management; reports monthly within operational areas of focus.
  • Performs financial analysis on ad hoc basis as requested by CFO/senior leadership including service line profitability, pension costs, etc.
  • Administers timely/effective month end close processes.
  • Provides financial reports to CFO.
  • Reviews AR aging and coordinates with Revenue Cycle to facilitate collection focus.
  • Develops/coordinates financial reporting computer system.
  • Oversees preparation/updating accounting policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates Medicare reimbursement strategies and reporting processes.
  • Coordinates timely distribution of department manpower efficiency reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
