Employment Type: Interim / Temp-to-Hire

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Controller to step in and provide hands-on leadership across its accounting and financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who can quickly take ownership of the finance function, strengthen processes, and provide reliable financial insight to leadership.

The Interim Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and internal controls. This role requires someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves, leading an accounting team, and making an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee general ledger accounting and month-end close
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Support audits and compliance requirements
  • Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support business decisions
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and accounting processes
  • Guide and support the accounting team
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Previous Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar senior accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Strong accounting/ERP systems and Excel skills
  • Manufacturing, printing, or related industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; CPA a plus
  • Ability to work fully on-site in Dalton, GA
