Job description

This role can be based in Blair, Nebraska or Lenexa, Kansas, with travel to those locations and Montgomery, Alabama.
Are you enthusiastic about working with financial data and is it your ambition to grow within an International Business Control department? Are you a team-player with strong analytical and reporting skills and interested in understanding not only the numbers, but also their business context? If the answers are yes, we may have the perfect role for you.
As a member of the site leadership teams, you will provide insightful financial analysis and collaborate with management to steer the production facilities in Blair and Montgomery to achieve their financial objectives. Also, you will provide financial guidance to the leadership team at the Biomaterials site in Tucker, Georgia. Responsibilities include:
  • Strategy, budgeting, forecasting processes and business decisions
  • Support plant operations with timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis of results (cost control versus budget, efficiencies & variance reporting, and providing cost forecasts)
  • Act as business and financial conscience in Corbion's Cost-to-Value program, ensuring value-driven decision-making
  • Report on, and maintain control of, Capital Expenditures
  • Oversee financial internal and external controls regarding assets (including inventory) and spending
  • Collaborate with Operations Analysts on production efficiencies, cost price calculations, evaluating inventory and challenging supply chain to maintain proper stock levels, complying with internal control guidelines
  • Collaborate with Lenexa based Finance Control Team

Department: The Manufacturing Business Controller is part of the Integrated Supply Chain Business Control Team and reports to the Senior Controller Integrated Supply Chain, based in The Netherlands. Business controllers in Corbion act as finance business partners for the Commercial, Integrated Supply Chain and RD&A teams within the organization and are focused on value creation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Master's Degree in Accounting, MBA or CPA preferred
  • Eight years of progressive experience in Accounting/Finance environment, international manufacturing or food production a plus
  • Strong business, financial acumen with demonstrated ability to provide in-depth analysis
  • Working knowledge of controlling large CAPEX projects
  • Team player who is adaptable, flexible and comfortable presenting/communicating to various levels of the organization with a variety of goals and purposes
  • Experience with an ERP (SAP preferred) and excellent command of Microsoft tools
  • Solid business intelligence skills (Power BI - Fabric) and knowledge of AI and the drive to embed it as an integral part of the work domain
  • Willingness to travel as needed to manufacturing facility in Montgomery, Alabama and the North American Corporate office in Lenexa, Kansas
