Job description

If you're leading finance within a beverage, bottling, dairy processing, or other food manufacturing environment and you're looking for the opportunity to build something from the ground up, I'd encourage you to keep reading.

We're conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing dairy processing company that's launching a brand-new manufacturing facility in Seward, Nebraska.

This isn't a traditional Controller position where you'll inherit years of established processes. It's an opportunity to help build the accounting function from the beginning while partnering closely with executive leadership and plant operations.

If you enjoy improving processes, implementing systems, supporting manufacturing operations, and making a visible impact on a growing business, this could be an excellent fit.

What you'll be responsible for

• Lead the accounting function for the facility

• Financial reporting, month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, and internal controls

• Inventory accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management

• Support ERP implementation and ongoing system optimization

• Build scalable accounting processes as the operation continues to grow

• Partner closely with operations to improve financial performance and decision-making

• Lead and develop a small accounting and administrative team

The background we're looking for

Our highest priority is someone who has worked within:

• Dairy processing

• Beverage manufacturing

• Beverage bottling

• Aseptic or UHT manufacturing

• Food and beverage manufacturing

The strongest candidates will likely have experience as a Financial Controller, Plant Controller, Manufacturing Controller, Plant Finance Manager, Operations Finance Manager, or Manufacturing Accounting Manager.

We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of the operation, takes ownership, builds relationships with operations, and naturally looks for ways to improve processes rather than simply maintain them.

Compensation & Benefits

• Target compensation around $150,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates bringing highly relevant beverage, dairy, or bottling manufacturing experience

• Annual bonus opportunity

• 100% employer-paid family medical insurance

• Dental and vision coverage

• PTO

• Relocation assistance available

Why this opportunity?

There are plenty of Controller positions where you'll maintain an existing accounting department.

This isn't one of them.

You'll have the opportunity to help build the financial infrastructure of a new manufacturing operation while working closely with leadership to support the company's long-term growth.

If this sounds like the kind of challenge you've been looking for, I'd enjoy learning more about your background and sharing additional details about this confidential opportunity.
