Job description

Controller | Construction | High-Growth 🚀
140-165K plus Bonus
Ready to build something bigger than just the books?
Legacy Search Advisors is partnering with a fast-growing construction firm on a Controller search—a role designed for someone who wants a seat at the table as the company scales through strategic expansion.
This is not a "keep the lights on" Controller role. This is a builder's role.
💼 The Opportunity
You'll own and elevate the entire accounting function while acting as a financial leader to the executive team—bringing clarity, control, and insight as the business grows.
  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations (GL, close, reporting, controls)
  • Drive process improvement & scalability
  • Partner with leadership on forecasting, cash flow, and strategic decisions
  • Play a key role in M&A activity—due diligence, integration, and financial alignment
  • Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team

🏗 Why This Role Stands Out
  • Growth trajectory: Company is actively pursuing acquisitions and expansion
  • Visibility: Direct exposure to executive leadership and ownership
  • Impact: Help shape financial infrastructure during a critical scale phase
  • Industry: Construction—where strong Controllers are critical to managing complex project financials
👤 The Ideal Profile
  • Controller (or strong Accounting Manager ready to step up)
  • Construction / project-based accounting experience (WIP, revenue recognition, job costing)
  • Proven ability to build processes in a growing environment
  • CPA strongly preferred

This is a high-priority, strategic hire tied to upcoming growth initiatives. More details will be shared directly with qualified candidates.
📩 Let's Talk
If you're ready to step into a role where you can drive growth—not just report on it, reach out or message me directly.
