Controller — Mid-City, Los Angeles, CA

We are working with a well-established nonprofit in the Mid-City area on a Controller search. This role reports directly to the CFO, oversees a team across general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll, and serves as the primary liaison for external audits and regulatory compliance.

Title: Controller

Location: Mid-City, Los Angeles, CA — Fully Onsite, Monday through Friday

Compensation: Up to $165,000 Base + Benefits

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • 6–12+ years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated management progression
  • Experience at an organization with $100M+ operating budget
  • Has directly owned external audit liaison, internal controls, financial reporting, and cash management
  • Full-cycle accounting operations exposure: GL, AP, and payroll

Strong Pluses:

  • CPA or active CPA candidate
  • Nonprofit, government-contracted, or grant-funded organization experience
  • ERP or accounting system implementation/migration experience
