Job description

A global consumer products organization is seeking a Controller – Financial Systems & Operations to support accounting leadership, financial reporting, process improvement, and finance technology initiatives.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role blends technical accounting expertise with financial systems, reporting, analytics, and operational improvement. The company recently implemented a new ERP platform and is focused on enhancing reporting capabilities, automation, business intelligence, and financial decision support.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance leader who enjoys improving processes, leveraging technology, and driving meaningful business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
  • Assist with consolidated reporting, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and treasury activities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and executive reporting.
  • Strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Systems & Analytics

  • Help optimize and enhance ERP and financial reporting systems.
  • Partner with IT and business leaders on process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Develop and improve Power BI dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting.
  • Deliver financial insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.

Audit, Compliance & Leadership

  • Support SOX compliance, audit activities, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional process improvement projects.
  • Mentor accounting team members and serve as a key business partner across the organization.


Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Strong background in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, inventory, fixed assets, treasury, consolidations, and internal controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.

Preferred

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or comparable ERP experience.
  • Power BI reporting and dashboard development.
  • Manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or inventory-intensive industry experience.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
