About the Role Scott Enterprises, a 40+ year award-winning commercial roofing and construction company, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead financial operations for Scott Enterprises and our family of related companies. This hands-on role oversees accounting for construction operations, intercompany transactions, multiple LLC property entities, and a small accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead month-end closes, financial reporting, and job cost accounting in Sage and Procore.
  • Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, intercompany billing, and property accounting (rent, CAM).
  • Oversee AR, AP, and Payroll functions.
  • Handle multi-state compliance, taxes, insurance, and audits.
  • Supervise and develop a team of two accounting professionals.
  • Partner with the President on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years as Controller or senior accountant (required).
  • Strong experience with job costing, WIP, multiple entities, Sage, Procore, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to clean up backlogs and implement strong processes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
