Job description

Northern Defense Industries, LLC (NDI), an AMS Group, Inc. The Government Contracts Administrator role will focus on Department of Defense (DoD)/Department of War (DoW) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) proposal and contract activity. Position requires the candidate to have a solid proficiency in understanding and administering various DoD/DoW and DHS contract, subcontract and purchase order types.
Functional Responsibilities:
• Complete registration of Company with prime contractors and/or suppliers to include portal registration process.
• Provide contract administration support for assigned proposals and contracts/subcontracts including customer/supplier interface, negotiations, and contract interpretation to ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Ability to review contract and/or subcontract Terms & Conditions to include flow downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out, and records retention. Identify Terms and Condition exceptions. Lead and/or support contract and/or subcontract negotiations.
• Draft correspondence to Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists and Supplier contracts/subcontracts personnel regarding contractual issues for review and approval.
• Act as primary contracts interface between Company and customers/suppliers on all contractual matters.
• Review and process contract and subcontract modifications. Monitor compliance with contract/subcontract deliverable requirements.
• Ensure effective and open communication of proposal and contractual information between organizational stakeholders to include subsidiary management, program management and Corporate Operations and Finance functional leads.
• Understanding of Foreign Military Sale contracts and U.S. export regulations to ensure compliance with Department of State and Department of Commerce laws and regulations.
Requirements
Education
• Minimum of a four-year bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a four-year bachelor's degree (BA or BS), eight years of demonstrated U.S. Government DoD/DoW and/or DHS contracts experience.
Experience
• Minimum five (5) years in the U.S. Government contracting space supporting DoD/DoW and DHS contracts in a similarly related professional position. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) and Homeland Security Acquisition Regulation (HSAR).
Skills and Qualifications:
• Excellent people, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in working within an ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Desired: Demonstrated knowledge of Foreign Military Sale contracts and U.S. export regulations to ensure compliance with Department of State and Department of Commerce laws and regulations.
• Desired: U.S. Navy Foreign Military Sales contract and/or subcontract experience.
• Desired: Active Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification(s).
Security Clearance
• Minimum current Secret security clearance with ability to maintain clearance through employment.
Location
• This position will be a full time, in-person role. We are searching for a candidate who can work at either our Torrance, CA office location or Alexandria, VA office location.
Salary Description
$100,000 - $130,000
