Job Description

Title : SR Project Manager (Infrastructure) 

Location : Minneapolis, MN

Duration : 12+ month contract


Project Manager (Infrastructure) 


Responsibilities: 

Leads entire project 

Communicates appropriately to stakeholders 

Help Business Partners and Business Users understand their roles and responsibilities within the project 

Requests the needed people for a project and get them oriented to work on the project 

Develops and executes an overall project schedule, including tasks, duration, dependencies, and resource assignments 

Controls and tracks changes to scope, time, cost, quality, issues, and risk 

Leads completion of project objective, such as procurement, quality planning, service level agreements, and customer training 

Ensures product deliverables' quality, such as functional specifications, logical and physical data design, solution design and detailed design, test plans, and completed solution 

Resolves issues in a timely manner. When appropriate, escalate problems and issues to stakeholders and sponsor 

Evaluates risks and assess possible outcomes 

Manages vendor relationships according to contract terms and conditions 

Responds to terms or conditions not being met 

Monitors individual performance and provide feedback to resource managers 

Recognizes and reward desirable individual and team performance 


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • This project is within the Infrastructure area within Communications and Security. 
  • Project Manager will run 2 projects. 
  • One project will be to implement more robust Web Application Firewalls and the second project is to Re-architect end-point security (i.e.: Symantec End-Point). 
  • PM will be within the PMO department, but obtain work direction related to the project from the Security Engineering manager and the Security Program Manager. 
  • Project will follow typical SDLC and PM must have proven experience from start to end of SDLC. 
  • Experience should include projects in range of $1-$3 million, projects that involve multiple IT groups (PM may need to coordinate testing and outage windows with application portfolios). 
  • There are other projects within the Security program that the PM will pick up once one or both of the stated projects are completed. 
  • Experience working with Security projects a plus and an extra plus if they know about WAF and Symantic End Point. 
  • Need PMs that know how to work with engineers.
