We're seeking a contract Learning and Development Lead in our Portland - Office, supporting our retail practice to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.

9-month assignment, 4 days onsite in Portland, OR.

SUMMARY

We are seeking a Training Consultant to drive adoption and success of a major business transformation program. In this role, you will develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy that enables teams to embrace new processes and systems, ultimately accelerating time-to-market and organizational effectiveness. Your expertise will be instrumental in bridging the gap between technical change and people readiness, ensuring smooth transition and sustained engagement across the business.

YOU WILL:
  • Design and deliver customized training programs tailored to diverse organizational levels and learning needs
  • Create instructional materials and learning resources that support knowledge retention and practical application
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skills gaps and training requirements across the business
  • Manage the full training lifecycle, from planning and development through delivery and evaluation
  • Work collaboratively with project stakeholders and leadership to align training initiatives with business objectives
  • Facilitate change management activities to support organizational adoption and cultural transformation
  • Monitor training effectiveness and adjust delivery methods based on participant feedback and performance metrics
  • Provide on-site support and coaching to ensure successful implementation and embedding of new ways of working.
IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:
  • Proven experience in learning and development, instructional design, or corporate training delivery
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale transformation or change management programs
  • Strong background in designing and delivering training for process improvements or new system implementations
  • Experience working in professional services, consulting, or matrix-driven organizations
  • Track record of delivering training within budget constraints and tight timelines
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage audiences at all levels
