Job Summary
Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Senior Configuration Data Management Analyst. This position is based out of our Bridgeton, MO facility and will have the option to work an in person or hybrid schedule. This role will work with other Configuration Management personnel under the supervision of the group manager. This position will be responsible for performing day to day configuration management activities on one or more development and manufacturing programs. In this role, the data analyst will work closely with the program teams which include stakeholders from engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality, to facilitate the implementation of configuration management activities.
Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and establish highly complex data management documentation based on program requirements.
  • May lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of configuration management systems
  • Participate in design review, audits, schedules, etc.
  • Utilize product data management tools
  • Prepare contract data item submittals to established delivery schedules
  • Provide high level support to the Product Data Manager and engineering technical staff
  • Independent preparation and submittal of contract data
  • Review contract data requirements and establish data schedules in accordance with requirements
  • Assist engineering technical staff in the decision process required for configuration management
  • May prepare and present status of configuration plan and schedule in customer meetings
  • Participate in the development of plans and procedures regarding configuration management
  • Prepare cost estimates with supervision
  • Provide training to staff in the use of configuration management tools
  • Support the analysis of proposed design changes to determine the effect on the overall system; recommend methods of improvement
  • Participate in special assignments or projects
  • Act as liaison between functional groups
  • May supervise work product of other less experienced employees
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Provide support to formal configuration management activities such as Physical Configuration Audits
  • Provide support to the preparation of Technical Data Package delivery
  • Complete assigned tasks on time and meet technical requirements
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field (CAD data systems)
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in the field of Product Data Management
  • Experience with configuration management processes as a support function will be considered relevant (i.e. quality, manufacturing etc.)
  • Highly developed understanding of engineering or manufacturing technical data packages
  • Demonstrated proficiency regarding configuration management principles
  • Demonstrates the ability to review engineering technical data for completeness and correctness
  • General computer skills with developed familiarity with product data management tools
  • Detail oriented individual
  • Experience with CAD data systems desirable
  • Knowledge and familiarity with DoD compliant Configuration Management (CM) processes used to control engineering design data including drawings/documents, software, and CAD data preferred
  • Knowledge of enterprise level Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to manage the release and change management of engineering and manufacturing data preferred

The salary range for this position is $72,654.00/year- $94,450.00 for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
