Accountant (Contract Only)
Location: Catoosa, OK | Pay: $75k+ Annually | Schedule: Day Shift | Type: Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities:
The Accountant will manage all accounting transactions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Responsibilities include reconciling sub-ledgers to general ledger balances, performing monthly balance sheet and income statement analysis, and preparing timely financial statements with budget variance assessments. The role requires overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring compliance with deadlines, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable to guarantee timely bank payments. Additional duties include computing taxes, preparing tax returns, managing profit/loss statements, and monitoring the company's overall financial health and liquidity. The Accountant will also conduct risk assessments, evaluate internal controls, audit financial transactions, and ensure strict compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Confidentiality of financial data and proper documentation will be maintained at all times, with backups performed as needed.

Competencies:
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation. They must be capable of effectively performing risk assessments, evaluating internal controls, and meeting tight deadlines for closings and reporting.
