Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include financial analysis and a broad range of accounting duties. The role requires proficiency in financial and ERP systems, along with the ability to effectively interface with customers, vendors, external service providers, and government agencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Steward our mission (to enrich lives by providing differentiated packaging automation and services) and values (unwavering integrity, servant's heart, ownership spirit and continuous innovation and improvement).
  • Prepare and post journal entries with proper support and documentation.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances timely.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Support accounts receivable and credit processes, including aging review and follow-up.
  • Track and maintain fixed assets, including capitalization, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Assist with sales tax reporting and maintenance of Avalara sales tax software.
  • Support audit requests and ensure timely, accurate documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting for assigned business units.
  • Analyze financial data, prepare reporting, and provide insight into variances and trends.
  • Assist with all cash-related activities, including bank transactions and account support.
  • Support ongoing ERP optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization to effectively support internal and external customers.
  • Standardize and document accounting procedures to drive consistency and improve knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Assist with automation efforts to streamline processes and reduce manual journal entries and reconciliations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and applications.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports, statements, and forecasts.
  • Strong account reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to set up and maintain financial accounts and general ledgers.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools used for reporting and analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
  • Experience with Infor XA, Epicor Kinetic, or other manufacturing ERP systems preferred.
