Your Future Team 

DTA Accountants is a longstanding tax and financial advisory firm based in Bellevue, Washington, delivering comprehensive services to businesses, individuals, trusts, and estates. Through this partnership, DTA Accountants continues to provide its signature relationship driven, client focused service while gaining access to enhanced national resources, advanced tools, and expanded operational support across the Archer Lewis network. 

What You’ll Do  

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will take the lead on complex tax and accounting engagements, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of all work products. You will serve as a trusted technical resource for the team, applying your advanced accounting and tax knowledge to resolve challenges, guide decision making, and uphold firm standards. You will mentor and support staff, helping develop their technical skills and professional growth. You will also play a key role in strengthening internal processes, enhancing workflow efficiency, and contributing to leadership initiatives that drive continuous improvement across the firm. 

Advanced Accounting & Tax 

  • Oversee complex tax and accounting matters, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards. 
  • Review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure completeness and compliance. 
  • Prepare and review advanced individual and business tax returns across a variety of entity types. 
  • Lead tax research on complex issues and apply findings to client specific situations. 
  • Support advanced tax planning initiatives and provide strategic advisory guidance. 

Client Leadership 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for clients, acting as a primary point of contact for complex questions and issues. 
  • Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements that benefit client operations and financial outcomes. 
  • Communicate complex accounting and tax matters in a clear, professional, and client friendly manner. 

Team Leadership & Quality Control 

  • Review work prepared by Staff Accountants and other Senior Accountants to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance. 
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to strengthen team skills and capabilities. 
  • Ensure the team’s adherence to firm standards, policies, and deadlines. 
  • Assist with the onboarding and training of new team members to support smooth integration into the firm. 

Process Improvement 

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting and tax workflows for greater efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Contribute to developing documentation, standardized procedures, and best practices. 
  • Support leadership on special projects and firmwide initiatives aimed at continuous improvement. 

What You’ll Bring  

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

Experience 

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and tax experience, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility. 

Certifications 

  • Active CPA license required. 

Technical Skills 

  • Strong, up to date technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations. 
  • Advanced proficiency with accounting and tax software, along with the ability to learn new platforms quickly. 

Soft Skills 

  • Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated track record of mentoring and developing team members. 
  • Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem solving skills. 
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly
