Overview

The Accountant position will be a key member of the Global Accounting team within Wellington's Finance department. This individual is responsible for accounting duties related to the monthly close for Wellington's legal entities, as well as internal and external financial reporting requirements and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn quickly to make an impact and take on increasing responsibilities within the group.

Responsibilities

  • Journal entry preparation and account reconciliation for Wellington's legal entities
  • Analysis of monthly financial results and related reporting to management
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Preparation of filings and surveys for regulatory agencies with adherence to strict deadlines
  • External audit support including audit work papers and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Identifying and assisting with implementation of operational efficiencies and improvements to processes
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or previous experience in an accounting setting required
  • 0-3 years' experience, preferably in accounting role
  • Analytical and technical aptitude with strong attention to detail
  • Strong Excel and system skills preferred, Workday experience a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, interacting and collaborating with cross functional teams
  • Motivation, enthusiasm and initiative are highly valued attributes of Wellington finance professionals

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

USD 80,000 - 150,000

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

Base salaryis only one component of Wellington's total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
