Job Overview
King Jesus' Ministry is committed to fulfilling the God-given mandate to take the Gospel to all nations and to steward its resources with integrity. We are seeking a Global Accountant to support this mission through strong financial oversight and accountability. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations within the Missions Department, ensuring accurate accounting, strong financial controls, and timely reporting for all mission trips and related activities. This role manages budgets, travel-related financial coordination, payment processing, corporate card oversight, and reconciliation of mission trip expenses. The position requires a strong accounting background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to operate under pressure while collaborating with multiple leadership levels across the ministry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Accounting
  • Monitor and oversee all financial transactions within the Global Harvest Department.
  • Reconcile accounts related to mission trips, including pre-trip, expenses, and post-trip settlements.
  • Provide accurate financial statements and summaries for each mission trip.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed trip-level budgets, tracking actuals vs. budget.
  • Ensure expenses are coded correctly and align with organizational accounting standards.
  • Make recommendations to improve accounting processes, financial controls, and operational efficiency within the Missions Department.

Travel & Vendor Management
  • Support in overseeing payments to travel vendors, hotels, airlines, ground transportation providers, and other mission-related vendors.
  • Support to ensure vendor contracts, invoices, and payments are accurate, timely, and compliant with internal policies.

Corporate Card & Expense Management
  • Monitor AMEX and P-Card usage for missions.
  • Track, review, and reconcile expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Manage P-Card limit increases for approved travelers and ensure limits are adjusted appropriately before and after trips.
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies, misuse, or missing documentation.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure corporate card activity is properly recorded and reconciled.

Reporting & Leadership Support
  • Prepare and provide missions financial reports as requested by leadership in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Support leadership with financial insights related to trip costs, trends, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Missions leadership, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure financial alignment.
  • Support audits, internal reviews, and documentation requests related to missions finances.

Operational Excellence
  • Manage multiple mission trips simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for all mission activities.
  • Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, or gaps in financial operations.
  • Perform other relevant financial and operational duties as needed to support the Missions or Accounting team.
  • Other duties may be assigned. Travel may be required.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • 7+ years of experience managing expense reports, corporate cards, and vendor payments.
Experience Requirements
  • Proficiency in accounting systems, expense management platforms, and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Strong accounting background with hands-on experience in reconciliation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • A self-starter mentality and keen attention to detail & accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple leadership tiers, staff, and external partners.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish Required
