Position Summary
The Content Marketer will be a member of FSM's Story Team, reporting directly to the Story Team Manager. This role will be expected to plan, create, and distribute strategic marketing content across multiple channels-including blogs, email campaigns, websites, and more-with the goal of driving measurable marketing outcomes such as audience growth, lead generation, and increased brand visibility.
The Position Must Have:
  • A results-driven mindset: You don't just create content-you create content with a purpose. You understand how each piece connects to a broader marketing funnel and are motivated by metrics, outcomes, and continuous improvement.
  • A multi-channel approach: You are comfortable creating and adapting content for a variety of platforms and formats, from blog posts and email newsletters to social media and AI-powered search experiences. You understand that where and how content is distributed matters as much as the content itself.
  • A strategic understanding of SEO and AI visibility: You are knowledgeable about search engine optimization best practices and understand how to optimize content for both traditional search and emerging AI-driven search tools. You stay current on how content discovery is evolving.
  • Strong analytical capabilities: You are comfortable using data to guide your content decisions. You can read performance metrics, identify what's working, and adjust strategy accordingly.
  • A collaborative and client-ready presence: You will work alongside designers, digital specialists, and account teams to produce cohesive marketing campaigns. You are comfortable participating in client-facing conversations and presenting your content strategies with clarity and confidence.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute content marketing strategies aligned with client goals, including blog articles, email campaigns, social media content, landing pages, and more.
  • Optimize content for search visibility and AI discovery, applying on-page SEO best practices and staying current on how generative AI tools surface and recommend content.
  • Plan and manage email marketing campaigns from concept through deployment, including copywriting, segmentation guidance, and performance analysis.
  • Research industry trends and audience insights to inform content planning that resonates with target audiences and supports client objectives.
  • Monitor and report on content performance metrics-such as traffic, open rates, engagement, and conversions-using data to refine ongoing content strategy.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, web developers, and digital specialists to ensure content and creative are aligned across all deliverables.
  • Participate in client-facing meetings by presenting content strategies, reporting on results, and gathering input to inform future work.

Skill Set
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice across industries and content formats.
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization for AI-powered search tools.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar).
  • Ability to interpret content analytics and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaborating within a team.
  • Curious, self-directed learner who can quickly get up to speed on new industries and client businesses.
  • Positivity and a growth mindset when receiving feedback and iterating on work.

Education and Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or a related role.
  • Agency experience is a plus.

Please provide us with 3-5 samples that include a variety of work you've created (i.e., blog posts, newsletters, content).
