Essential Functions

The Senior Content Specialist will join our growing content team and is responsible for the strategy and creation process of all written content for unique audiences across many formats and delivery vehicles. This content needs to align with Summit 7's corporate messaging, Microsoft branding and standards, and specific audience needs. The ideal candidate must be an exceptional strategist, collaborator, editor, and project manager passionate about developing effective content.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the marketing team to research, develop, and publish marketing content targeted at various stages of the cloud journey and compliance requirements
  • Develop and maintain content calendar for channels
  • Develop user journeys
  • Project manage the development and publishing of new content on Summit 7 channels
  • Plan, schedule, and execute content refreshes across Summit 7's web assets
  • Meet with the evangelism, digital marketing, and creative teams to ideate and define content goals
  • Ability to plan and develop content for multiple platforms, including blogs, landing pages, LinkedIn, white papers, solution briefs, infographics, digital, etc.
  • Research content and industry trends to ensure that content is relevant and appealing to multiple personas
  • Ensure all written content is optimized for SEO and AI.
  • Help proofread, edit, and finalize materials submitted, ensuring they are on-message and fall within Summit 7's brand and voice
  • Regularly interview internal and external subject matter experts to create content for publication online and in print
  • Work closely with the creative team to maintain and optimize collateral inventory
  • Create and manage reporting dashboards for tracking content performance
  • Communicate content results on a regular, specified cadence.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in a content marketing or technical writing role within one or more of the following industries: business-to-business technology, software, IT consulting, cybersecurity, and DoD contracting
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of optimizing content for AI and search engines
  • 3+ years' experience working with content management systems such as Hubspot, WordPress, or similar software
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally across sales, marketing & product marketing organizations
  • Flexible and willing to take on new projects
  • Excellent time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting to changing market and organizational dynamics
  • Ability to take complex concepts and bring them to life in an easy-to-understand, conversational style
  • Excellent grammar skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Experience in enterprise software, cybersecurity, preferably security and/or identity and access management, SaaS knowledge a plus
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass an extensive background check

*Additional preference may be given to individuals holding a master's degree or in pursuit of a degree within the broader fields of Communications and/or Business

Work Conditions

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. The person in this position may need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. May occasionally need to position self to maintain computers, including under the desks and in the server closet. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these solutions.
