Job description

Job Title: Web Content Manager
Clearance Required: Public Trust
Work Location: Remote

Alpha Omega is seeking a Web Content Manager supporting the National Institutes of Health National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) in Rockville, MD.  The objective of the NHLBI Content Management contract is to provide enterprise-wide web content support related to the enhancement and maintenance of the NHLBI.gov public web site and the NHLBI Intranet using the Drupal Web Content Management System (WCMS).

Key Responsibilities: 

•  Performing and supporting content updates on the public and Intranet websites based on new programmatic activities, enhancements to existing web content, input from subject matter experts and editorial boards, semiannual content refresh input from content owners, and changes to archived web content being migrated or decommissioned.
•  Providing collaborative support for monitoring and day-to-day management of web content-related requests through email, and ServiceNow ticketing system.
•  Providing content-related site improvements and supporting functionality-related site improvements based on content quality audit findings, metrics, user feedback, stakeholder input, and requests from NHLBI staff and contractors.
•  Ensuring that content meets NHLBI standards for content development.

Required Qualifications:

Experience/Skills:   

  • 5+ years’ experience in web site development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as familiarity with HTML editors such as Dreamweaver
  • Familiarity with Drupal; understanding of content management support using Drupal or equivalent content management system
  • Familiarity with versioning control systems like GitHub or Bitbucket, for example, experience with ARO or Azure
  • Experience with SQL queries is preferred
  • Flexible and adaptive, with the ability to quickly change course and use multiple technologies to achieve required outcomes
  • Experience with metadata, tagging and search preferred

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Information Technology or related field

Salary and Benefit Information:  

The likely salary range for this position is $72,000- $112,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
