Fantasy Flight Games (FFG) is a pioneering publisher of hobby board and card games, including trademarked Living Card Games. Many of FFG's most popular titles are based on beloved licenses such as Star WarsTM, Marvel, J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, and George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. In addition, FFG has its own iconic universes such as Arkham Horror Files, Terrinoth Legends, and Twilight Imperium. Throughout the course of the studio's rich history, FFG has published games in over thirty languages and distributed to more than fifty territories. Fantasy Flight Games is a subsidiary of Paris-based Asmodee Group, a leading global publisher of tabletop games.

Job Summary

Fantasy Flight Games has an immediate part-time contract opportunity for an independent contractor (1099) Web Content Specialist who will be responsible for managing and maintaining engaging and informative content for our company's websites. The Contract Web Content Specialist will collaborate with various teams to ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with our brand image and marketing objectives. This position requires strong attention to detail, along with excellent communication and organization skills. This is a part-time, project-based 1099 independent contractor opportunity, anticipated to average 20–30 hours per week for an initial 6-month engagement, and is not a full-time, benefits-eligible employee position.

Scope of Work

Project scope, responsibilities, and deliverables will be outlined in the contractor agreement and may evolve throughout the engagement based on business needs. Example project work may include:

  • Publishing and maintaining website content, including product descriptions, webpage copy, and supporting documents, while adhering to brand guidelines and SEO best practices.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to gather information needed to support accurate and timely web content updates.
  • Utilizing content management systems and related publishing tools to maintain web content across studio websites.
  • Coordinating with global partners to acquire and refine assets for localized web content.
  • Providing recommendations regarding digital content scheduling and publishing timelines.
  • Completing additional project-based deliverables as mutually agreed upon throughout the engagement.

Position Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and web publishing tools. Knowledge of HTML and CSS. Familiarity with Python scripting a plus. Familiarity with online project management tools such as Monday.com, Smartsheet, or Asana. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor content for different audiences and platforms. Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and multiple departments. Ability to work in a deadline driven, high-energy environment. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines. Passion for tabletop gaming is a plus!

Education/Experience 1-3 years of experience in web content, web development, or similar role.
