This is a Part-time position that supports the Alvin College Marketing Department and is limited to no more than 19 hours per week.

Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include working days, evenings and/or weekends.
May require travel to our main campus in Alvin and/or to various offsite locations, including local high schools in Alvin, Danbury, Manvel and Pearland.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides support to the Web Services Team and Marketing Director by maintaining website content, assisting with digital updates, and supporting Marketing & Communications initiatives. This role ensures website accuracy, functionality, and timely updates while contributing to departmental projects and events. This position is limited to no more than 19 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review the Alvin College website regularly to identify and report outdated content, broken links, and inconsistencies
  • Assist with daily website content updates using the college's Content Management System (CMS) and work request system; communicate with internal stakeholders as needed to clarify or fulfill requests
  • Perform cross-browser and basic accessibility checks to ensure consistency in design, functionality, and user experience
  • Support the Web Services team with routine technical and content-related tasks
  • Maintain the online events calendar by creating web-ready graphics, posting events, and ensuring all details are accurate and up to date based on Marketing materials
  • Create and edit digital images for website use as directed by the Web Services Manager
  • Provide occasional support for Marketing & Communications events and initiatives throughout the year
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Certificate or Associate's degree in web development, design, digital media, or a related field or equivalent working experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a professional work environment or in a customer support-related role
  • Experience working with websites, CMS platforms, or digital content
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish
