We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data or Business Analyst on a full-time, permanent basis for our client, a recognized and viable $350M+ organization, a leader in their vertical - nationally. The Sr. Business Analyst  will serve as a leader in data analysis to collaborate with clients and management to enhance the value of our client's products and services. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the following:
Sr. Business Analyst Essential Duties:

  • Develop data requirements to based on customer feedback and definition.
  • Deliver data products in presentation format to customers.
  • Work on ad-hoc data requests.
  • Explain data pulls and reporting to IT and business users to validate requirements are correct and understood. 
  • Maintain working relationships with internal and external customers and resolve issues that may arise. 
  • Quarterly and monthly analysis, including variance analysis. 
  • Conduct projects and participate in problem solving and improvement team activities.
  • Perform data analysis and business acumen to document the business/technical requirements needed to develop effective data-feed interfaces. 
  • Collaborate with clients and management to enhance the value of our products and services. 
  • Build cross-departmental understanding of the importance of data quality, completeness, and timeliness. 
  • Determine and analyze customer requirements, use system data, and provide input needed by various departments and senior management to produce business and scientific reports. 
  • Research and develop analysis of new product ideas. 
  • Operates with minimal supervision
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Excel required and knowledge of VBA and statistical languages preferred. 
  • Minimum of 4 years in a role of data analysis, statistical analysis, data transformation, data reconciliation and/or sophisticated data presentation. 
  • Proven ability to work independently through analysis of data to identify business trends, opportunities, and anomalies. 
  • Intuition for and experience with predictive modeling a plus.
