This full-time Computer Technician position is responsible for the technician operations process. The Computer Technician will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess a great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality, and be well-versed in computer systems and network functions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Computer Repair

  • Repair, refurbish, and upgrade donated desktops and laptops, including disassembly, reassembly, and hardware replacement
  • Perform computer troubleshooting, repairs, and hard drive sanitization
  • Image computers using disk imaging and automated operating system installation tools
  • Load and unload computer equipment and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Conduct quality control (QC) checks on hard drives and ensure proper image deployment for various devices

Customer Support

  • Provide telephone technical support and customer assistance, including updating online orders
  • Collaborate with managers to improve processes and meet daily/weekly refurbishment and KPI goals
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Experience with computer repair, refurbishing, and working in a Windows PC environment
  • Familiarity with Windows deployment and imaging preferred
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for technology and continuous learning
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Must be flexible, self-motivated, and adaptable

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a workstation or service counter
