Position Overview: As an Electrical Designer or CAD Design Drafter at Abbott Electric, Inc., you will play a key role in the computer-aided drafting & design of electrical systems for various projects. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients, you will be responsible for creating detailed electrical plans, layouts, and specifications that adhere to industry standards and meet project requirements.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create electrical layouts, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Design electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Perform load calculations, voltage drop calculations, and other technical analyses to optimize system performance.
  • Select appropriate electrical components, equipment, and materials based on project specifications and budget constraints.
