Job description

We are actively searching for a Senior Analyst to join the Market Intelligence team at Inspire Brands. This individual will have the opportunity to partner closely with the Senior Director and broader Market Intelligence team to educate and inform the Inspire Brands leadership team, Data & Analytics, Commercial Group, Finance, as well as the brand teams and franchisees that support our portfolio of nearly 32,000 restaurants and over $30 billion of global systemwide sales.
As Senior Analyst, Market Intelligence, you will help ensure that Inspire Brands understands the holistic external landscape impacting our current and future consumers by tracking and reporting on the activities of the overall market, specific competitors and providing activity updates, threat, and opportunity assessments.
This role is required to be onsite 4 days per week, typically Monday- Thursday.
DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Synthesize actionable insights from internal and external data by applying appropriate analytical techniques.

  • Formulate a hypothesis-driven approach to key business problems to ensure all important questions are addressed fully and accurately.

  • Provide insight to various teams on a weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence regarding industry trends - both on customer and market-level shifts - and subsequent industry implications

  • Develop near-real-time reports with actionable insights on competitors and macroeconomic data.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or Economics preferred or equivalent related experience and training.

  • Certification preferred - Competitive Intelligence Professional - Academy of Competitive Intelligence

Experience:
  • 5-8 years of competitive/market intelligence/insights experience, preferably with experience in foodservice, CPG, or grocery.

  • Proven experience turning ideas into action and working across all levels of organization (senior leadership to analysts).

  • Public-company experience desired.

Other Skills/ Abilities:
  • Market research experience across primary and secondary methodologies as well as knowledge of key tools.

  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and visualizing industry data to stay abreast of competitive, business and industry dynamics, identify emerging areas and developing market landscape perspectives, and support business decisions.

  • Proven ability to deliver results through insights and data.

  • Demonstrated experience staying ahead of key competitor actions and their implications or threats to Inspire Brands portfolio.

  • Comfortable with modeling financial statements ///and dissecting 10K and 10Q's developing appropriate recommendations.

  • Experience with reporting and interpreting macroeconomic data.

  • Experience quickly analyzing and then synthesizing key information from competitive earnings calls and reports that's made both digestible and actionable for leadership teams.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Champions new ideas and initiatives and creates an environment that supports innovation; leverages fresh perspectives, breakthrough ideas, and new paradigms to create value in the market.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment across all levels throughout the organization; can thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
