Community Service Lead
We have partnered with an amazing community outreach program and they are looking to add to their team.
Our client is seeking a Community Service Lead that is an experienced, organized, and compassionate professional to support programs that provide stabilization services, housing assistance, energy assistance, and other resources to individuals and families with limited means.
Community Service Lead Hours & Pay
Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm
Hourly Pay: $14.33
Community Service Lead Key Responsibilities
  • Support the administration and delivery of community assistance and stabilization programs, including LIHEAP, housing, and related services.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of program policies, procedures, regulations, and eligibility requirements.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating community outreach events, pop-ups, enrollment activities, site visits, and community partnerships.
  • Train and mentor staff on program procedures, policies, interview techniques, problem-solving, and appropriate program flexibility.
  • Review program applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness; communicate with clients, vendors, and staff as needed and provide final approval.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records, files, correspondence, and program documentation.
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, schedule appointments, and provide information about available services.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Maintain knowledge of community resources, agencies, and service organizations.
  • Attend meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Community Service Lead Qualifications
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Or a high school diploma/GED required & two years of relevant, progressive experience in a similar role required.
  • Equivalent experience through military service or technical certifications will be considered.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, data management systems, and standard office equipment.
  • Knowledge of community resources and social service programs preferred.
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout a 6-county service area and occasionally for training or other functions
Community Service Lead Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be available for frequent driving within the 6 county service area
  • Must be available for occasional out of service area functions/trainings
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen
