Job description

Healthcare's helping hand.
CHG shook things up in 1979 by inventing the locum tenens staffing model. We connect doctors with patients who need their care. As the largest physician staffing firm in America, our providers treat millions of patients each year.
Our industry is growing and demand is high. This means you'll have plenty of opportunities to grow and develop in your career. Keeping healthcare healthy can be as fun as it is rewarding

CHG Healthcare is looking for a Commissions Analyst to join our Compensation team. The Compensation team serves as a strategic partner to the business, focused on designing and administering pay programs that attract, motivate, and retain talent in line with business priorities. Our team brings market and data expertise, understands how pay decisions affect equity, performance, and retention across teams, and helps leaders make sound, defensible pay decisions. As a Commissions Analyst you will own quota setting and sales commission administration for CHG Healthcare's sales organization. This role calculates and audits commission payouts, manages our SPM tools (Varicent, Xactly, and similar platforms), and applies sound quota methodologies to keep pay accurate and aligned with sales strategy. Based in Salt Lake City, UT, with onsite or remote options.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate and process sales commission payouts accurately and on schedule, in line with plan documents and compliance requirements.
  • Set, manage, and adjust sales quotas in partnership with sales leadership, applying sound quota-setting methodologies.
  • Administer and maintain SPM platforms (e.g., Varicent, Xactly), including plan configuration, data loads, and issue resolution.
  • Identify and lead process improvements across commission calculation, quota administration, and compensation reporting.
  • Partner with sales leadership and finance to evaluate, design, and refine sales compensation plans.

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of quota-setting methodologies and sales compensation plan design.
  • Hands-on experience with SPM tools such as Varicent, Xactly, or similar commission/quota platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work through large data sets and catch calculation errors.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and drive process improvements in compensation or finance operations.
  • Clear communicator, able to explain commission and quota concepts to sales and finance stakeholders.

Education & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in sales compensation, commissions administration, or quota management (5+ years for senior-level candidates)
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, mathematics, or a related field

Preferred

  • Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP), or working toward certification
  • Experience in a high-volume, multi-state sales organization
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms as they relate to commission data
