About the Role
We are seeking a curious, detail-oriented Business Systems Associate to join our IT team.This role is intentionally designed as a development path into a Business Systems Analyst position. You'll work directly with our IT Director and Systems Team, gaining hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, business process improvement, training, documentation, and enterprise software systems.
This is an onsite position based at our North Logan, Utah Headquarters.
What a Day in This Role Looks Like
The System Associate is the operational backbone of the Systems Team, owning process documentation, compliance monitoring, and end-user training that keep the company's Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) and other software integrations running as designed.
This role reports directly to the IT Director and supports Systems Analysts. It is an entry-level position intentionally designed as a structured pathway into a Systems Analyst role.
Responsibilities
Process Documentation & Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Library
  • Own the System process documentation library, create, maintain, and revise all SOPs for Microsoft D365 - HomeBuilder-1 workflows across both domains.
  • Shadow the System's Analysts to understand how each department uses the system, then document it in plain language.
  • Work with department leads across all departments to validate that SOPs reflect how work actually flows through the system.
  • Proactively update SOPs when processes or system configurations change.

Compliance Monitoring & Gap Reporting
  • Monitor daily business processes across departments to ensure they are being executed within the ERP as designed.
  • Log compliance gaps, clearly identifying what they are, which departments and modules are involved, when they are observed, and the likely root cause.
  • Escalate relevant issues to the correct System Analyst.
  • Support monthly compliance status reporting to the IT Director.
  • Track open gaps through to resolution, following up with the responsible analyst or department as needed.

End-User Training & Support
  • Assist the System's team in the Training Coordinator role. Develop, schedule, and deliver training for end-users across all departments.
  • Create training materials: step-by-step guides, quick-reference cards, and role-specific walkthroughs.
  • Support onboarding of new employees in system-dependent roles.
  • Serve as first contact for process-level questions from end-users, escalating technical issues to the appropriate analyst when necessary.

Workflow Improvement Support
  • Support the Business Systems Team on process improvement initiatives by gathering requirements, documenting current-state pain points, and mapping workflows.
  • Help draft future-state process designs based on user feedback and analyst direction.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing before system or process changes go live.
  • Assist with change management communications when new processes roll out.

ERP System Learning & Development
  • Actively learning Microsoft D365 - HomeBuilder-1 with mentorship from the Business Systems Analysts.
  • Shadow both analysts on configuration, testing, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Take on increasing ERP system responsibilities over time as the IT Director confirms readiness.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience. Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
  • 2 years of professional experience. Hiring for curiosity, organization, and follow-through.
  • Any experience with business software, business workflows, structured processes, and documentation is a plus.
  • Attention to detail. You notice when something does not add up.
  • Clear written communication. You can explain a process so anyone can follow it.
  • Organization. You manage multiple workstreams without dropping things.
  • Curiosity. You want to understand why, not just what.
  • Follow-through: You complete what you start and communicate when things change.
