Job description

Yorba Linda Country Club, located in Yorba Linda, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Catering and Sales Manager! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 plus commission 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Responds to incoming catering opportunities for the Club
  • Ensures proper management of all catered events, including, but not limited to: basic setup, table placement, buffet design, bar location, sales, marketing, planning, merchandising, servicing, and corresponding administrative procedures
  • Works closely with the Director of Catering and Executive Chef on creating menus for groups
  • Develops and executes a forward-looking sales strategy targeting weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, milestone events, business meetings, and other private functions
  • Actively solicits business from both members and outside leads, including through direct outreach, networking, referral building, and community presence
  • Works with the Director of Food & Beverage and the marketing team to create branded campaigns that highlight the club's upcoming new event spaces
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with event planners, vendors, and businesses to build an external pipeline of events
  • Engages with new and current members to understand their event needs and promote usage of Club spaces
  • Conducts facility tours, especially highlighting upcoming renovation plans and renderings
  • Manages inquiry follow-up, proposal writing, space bookings, contract negotiation, and BEO creation
  • Oversees and mentors the Banquet Manager to ensure seamless delivery of events and exceptional service
  • Tracks key sales metrics and pipeline status; reports regularly on performance and forecasted bookings
  • Remains visible and accessible at key events; serves as an enthusiastic ambassador for the Club's culture and offerings
  • Stays up to date on industry trends and pricing to ensure the club's private events program remains competitive and profitable
