Catering Director

Location: Chesterton, Indiana

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 + benefits + relocation + uncapped commission”

We are hiring on behalf of a leading golf brand for a Catering Director to lead the catering and events operation at one of their private club properties.


The Role

The successful candidate will take ownership of the property's catering business, driving event sales, developing client relationships and ensuring a strong level of service across all functions.

  • Lead catering sales and event activity across the property
  • Generate new business and develop relationships with members, clients and local organizations
  • Drive catering revenue and manage sales targets
  • Handle event proposals, pricing, contracts and client negotiations
  • Oversee weddings, corporate functions, golf events, private parties and social celebrations
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Food & Beverage leadership team
  • Develop event packages and menus to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Coordinate event details from initial enquiry through to completion


Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ years' experience in catering sales, events or a similar hospitality role
  • Proven ability to generate catering and banquet revenue
  • Strong sales, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Confident, professional communicator with strong client-facing skills
  • Experience within a private club, country club, hotel or upscale hospitality environment
