At Sony Music Entertainment, we fuel the creative journey. We've played a pioneering role in music history, from the first-ever music label to the invention of the flat disc record. We've nurtured some of music's most iconic artists and produced some of the most influential recordings of all time.

Today, we work in more than 70 countries, supporting a diverse roster of international superstars, developing and independent artists, and visionary creators. From our position at the intersection of music, entertainment, and technology, we bring imagination and expertise to the newest products and platforms, embrace new business models, employ breakthrough tools, and provide powerful insights that help our artists push creative boundaries and reach new audiences. In everything we do, we're committed to artistic integrity, transparency, and entrepreneurship.

We are looking for an Associate Director, Commercial Partnerships - Physical Accounts to lead Sony Music's physical retail presence at Amazon, while also serving as a central point of coordination across labels and partners on shared workflows. This role sits at the intersection of artist campaign strategy, retail execution, and cross-functional collaboration - owning the full lifecycle of physical retail campaigns at Amazon from solicitation through sell-through analysis, while also driving central, cross-label initiatives like partner agendas, social asset requests, and social management. You will serve as the primary liaison between Sony's label and commercial teams and Amazon, ensuring our artists' physical releases are positioned, planned, and executed at the highest level - and as a connective resource across labels on tasks that benefit from centralized ownership.

Amazon Account & Label Management

  • Lead day-to-day communication with Amazon across frontline new releases and always-on catalog campaigns, serving as the primary point of contact and resolving issues and roadblocks in a timely manner.
  • Pitch and manage physical retail campaigns end-to-end at Amazon - building vendor partnerships, setting up products, executing customized retail plans, managing submissions for digital ads, rebates, and incremental promotional opportunities, and tracking performance post-campaign.
  • Maintain catalog on site (product pages, partner feeds, features, and international/third-party impact on consumer view), and communicate clearly on campaign parameters and timelines to support planning across label and commercial teams.

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement customized strategies and product offerings by artist and fanbase to grow physical retail performance at Amazon and other key partners, including managing exclusive solicitations, retailer-exclusive configurations, and limited editions from setup through delivery.
  • Identify new product areas and incremental revenue opportunities, providing thought leadership on creative artist offerings.
  • Partner with frontline and catalog labels on end-to-end planning workflows - account communications, inventory forecasts, allocation tracking, and tentpole promotional activities - and collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, release planning, supply chain, and digital/media buying teams to align inventory, sales forecasts, and campaign timing.

Inventory, Orders & Operations, Finance

  • Monitor inventory levels at Amazon to minimize stockouts and overstock, liaising with Operations and supply chain to ensure logistics and fulfillment meet partner and label needs.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, order fulfillment, and account issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence and maintaining scalable processes across top Sony physical releases.
  • Work with central and label finance teams on partner terms and related issues (shortages, returns, etc.).

Cross-Label & Cross-Partner Central Responsibilities

  • Own central, cross-label coordination tasks that benefit from a single point of contact - including building and maintaining per-label agendas for partner meetings and check-ins.
  • Field and route social requests from labels and partners, ensuring timely turnaround and consistent prioritization across the roster.
  • Manage social assets across partners and labels - collecting, organizing, and distributing creative to support campaign and partner needs.
Who you are:
  • 5+ years' experience in physical account management, partnership management; experience specifically with Amazon is strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management skills; able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Investment in your professional growth and development enabling you to thrive in our vibrant community.
