Sales Manager- Amazon
Position Overview
The Amazon Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, profitability, and market
share across all product categories on Amazon. This role develops and executes strategic sales,
merchandising, promotional, and marketing initiatives to maximize product visibility, increase
conversion, and enhance the customer shopping experience.
This position serves as the key liaison between internal teams and Amazon, using data-driven
insights to optimize assortment, manage profitability, identify growth opportunities, and support
successful execution of new product launches and promotional programs. The role owns overall
Amazon business performance, including sales planning, P&L management, inventory
alignment, content optimization, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic Amazon sales and merchandising plans.
  • Create and manage new product launch strategies to drive traffic, conversion, and
    visibility.
    o Perform margin analysis to ensure profitability.
    o Evaluate item potential for marketing and social media programs.
  • Optimize site merchandising to improve customer experience:
    o Group and merchandise similar items.
    o Support brand stores, bundles, and product attachments.
    o Manage Vine/Born to Run initiatives and product reviews.
    o Ensure accurate in-stock product detail pages in partnership with supply chain
    teams.
  • Lead promotional planning and execution to drive sales growth:
    o Manage Amazon Vendor Central promotions and agreements.
    o Monitor pricing, Buy Box, and MAP compliance.
    o Align promotional strategies with advertising initiatives.
  • Partner with Amazon SAS and internal teams on ongoing and peak-season initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain business reporting, including:
    o Sales performance and growth trends
    o Promotional ROI and spend analysis
    o Inventory, fill rate, and product performance reporting
  • Manage quarterly P&L performance across assigned divisions.
  • dentify catalog gaps and new growth opportunities in partnership with cross-functional
    teams.

  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central and e-commerce operations.
  • Experience with Amazon merchandising, promotions, advertising, and product launches.

Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Sales, or Retail.
  • 1-2 years of Amazon Vendor Central or Seller Central experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting product launches, promotions, and digital merchandising.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting sales and inventory data.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a consumer products or retail environment
    preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
