Job Summary:

 

Zymo Research is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Commercialization Team! At Zymo Research, Associate Commercialization Managers support the growth and adoption of our scientific product portfolios by helping translate innovations into customer-facing strategies and executing commercialization activities.

This role emphasizes hands-on execution: developing and implementing marketing plans, enabling sales and distributors, collecting customer insights (VOC), and representing Zymo at trade shows and events. Associates also contribute to go-to-market execution, ensuring successful product positioning and adoption.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Market Execution

 

  • Build and execute marketing plans and campaigns to support assigned products.
  • Develop product collateral, presentations, and sales tools in collaboration with internal marketing teams.
  • Support launches with tactical execution across digital, events, and distributor channels.
  • Contribute to go-to-market (GTM) strategies and execution to ensure strong adoption of new and existing products.

Training & Sales Enablement

 

  • Train sales teams, distributors, and internal staff on product positioning, applications, and competitive advantages.
  • Create sales enablement tools (presentations, FAQs, battle cards, brochures) to drive effective customer engagement.
  • Serve as a point of contact for distributor inquiries related to assigned product lines.

Customer Engagement

 

  • Represent Zymo at trade shows, conferences, workshops, and customer meetings.
  • Collect Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback and translate it into actionable insights for senior strategists.
  • Support customer-facing presentations and technical discussions in collaboration with senior team members.

Market & Competitive Insight

 

  • Monitor competitive activity, track industry trends, and provide summaries to senior Portfolio Commercialization Managers.
  • Conduct basic market research to support campaign execution and opportunity assessments.
  • Document and communicate insights that inform portfolio and innovation strategies.

Education and Experience:

 

  • BS in life sciences (molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field) with at least 2 years of research experience, OR MS/PhD in a life sciences discipline.
  • MBA valued but not required.
  • Strong technical background required to effectively translate scientific concepts into customer-facing strategies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to engage both technical and commercial audiences.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for trade shows, conferences, and customer-facing events.
  • Self-starter with ability to execute tactical plans and contribute to go-to-market strategies.

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks:

The estimated base compensation range for this position is $66,000-85,000 per year at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
