Advanced Billing Consultants specializes in medical billing services, accounts receivable management, and information solutions for medical practices in TN. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate processing, balancing, reconciliation, and preparation of payment batches, while supporting the overall integrity of payment posting operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and knowledgeable in medical billing and payment processing procedures. Essential Responsibilities
  • Post electronic payments accurately within the billing system
  • Post insurance and patient credit card payments
  • Log, prepare, and balance payment batches received from the bank
  • Balance insurance and patient payments between Imagine and bank records using spreadsheets
  • Reconcile payment batches and investigate shortages, discrepancies, and variances
  • Prepare payment batches for payment posting staff
  • Post and track returned checks
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of payment posting activities
  • Maintain professional knowledge of medical billing, coding procedures, insurance carriers, Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal programs
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, leadership, providers, and medical practice personnel
  • Support departmental goals while maintaining productivity and quality standards
  • Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and company compliance requirements
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of medical billing or payment posting experience required
  • Experience reading and interpreting insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) required
  • Experience Managing Employees preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
