The Director, Payments Monetization is responsible for the day-to-day management, execution, and growth of FreedomPay's payment processing advisory program. This role serves as a key subject matter expert in merchant services and payment processing, supporting FreedomPay's sales organization with consultative expertise while ensuring operational excellence across all facets of the payment processing advisory program. The Director will execute against the program's strategic roadmap, manage partner and merchant relationships, and drive measurable results, reporting progress and insights to the VP, Strategic Sales on a regular cadence.

Program Execution and Operations
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality advisory services to merchants
  • Execute against the strategic plan, translating goals into actionable workstreams, timelines, and measurable outcomes
  • Oversee the end-to-end merchant engagement process, from statement collection and analysis through partner recommendation and handoff
  • Maintain and enforce the criteria and standards for payment processing partners participating in the program
  • Build and refine scalable processes, playbooks, and tools to support program efficiency and growth
Sales Support and Subject Matter Expertise
  • Act as a subject matter expert on merchant services, payment processing economics, and the acquiring landscape in support of FreedomPay's sales team
  • Partner with sales representatives on merchant-facing engagements, delivering expert-level presentations and consultative guidance on processing analysis results
  • Support the development of sales collateral, talking points, and training materials that enable the broader sales team to position the payment processing advisory effectively
Revenue and Partner Management
  • Drive revenue by managing the pipeline of merchant opportunities and ensuring timely progression through the advisory and referral process
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with acquiring partners, ensuring adherence to program standards and identifying opportunities for deeper collaboration
  • Track, analyze, and report on program KPIs, including merchant pipeline, conversion rates, revenue contribution, and partner performance, delivering regular updates to the VP, Strategic Sales
Team and Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Directly manage the payment processing advisory program analyst, providing coaching, oversight, and support for statement analysis and merchant account management activities
  • Collaborate with Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, and Operations to align activities with broader company initiatives
  • Establish and maintain a feedback loop, capturing merchant and partner insights to inform product and process improvements across FreedomPay
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in merchant services, payment processing, or acquiring, with strong knowledge of interchange, processing economics, and merchant advisory
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute programs with direct revenue impact
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to serve as a credible subject matter expert in merchant-facing and internal sales settings
  • Experience managing direct reports and cross-functional workstreams
  • Highly organized with a data-driven approach to tracking performance and driving accountability
  • Experience at or working closely with ISOs, acquirers, payment processors, or payment technology companies preferred
