Axalta Coating Systems is a leading manufacturer of paints and coatings with strong market positions in the Industrial Wood Coatings Industry. Our Sales growth has us adding a Territory Manager. This is a full-time position will support the distribution business with a concentration on industrial distribution partners. About the Job:
The Territory Manager will be responsible in conjunction for growing and maintaining sales with new and existing accounts. This role requires an experienced salesperson with a successful track record of selling into the coatings market. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to grow within a leader in the industrial wood coatings industry.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Direct responsibility for the sale of coatings to existing and new distribution partners in the US and Canada.
  • Develop and train current Industrial Distribution Partners and open new Industrial Distribution outlets in the US.
  • Provide responsive and knowledgeable support and advice to customers.
  • Manage Industrial projects and trials to ensure industry leading service and support.
  • Actively participate in industry associations to build the brand and stay informed of trends.
  • Work with our technical team on new products and lab projects to achieve growth strategies.
  • Manage sales documentation to ensure knowledge is captured and shared with company and customers.
  • Interface with customer service, factory operations, and the technical lab on customer activities.
  • Document and publish best practice SOP's for use of Axalta wood coatings.
  • Develop remote Distribution Training Program.
  • Train Industrial Distribution Partners on Axalta Finish Excellence.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ of years of industrial sales experience within the Coatings marketplace.
  • Knowledge of coatings or chemicals or equipment used in Coatings markets.
  • Proven ability for technical selling and ability to prospect, commercialize and maintain accounts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate to a variety of audiences including senior management, customers, and co-workers.
  • Strong technical background and excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with exceptional relationship building and communication skills.
