Job description

***This position is located in Hopkinsville, KY*** Company willing to pay relocation expenses for the right candidate. Come work for a company who provides machined foundry and other precision components to the US Navy. CNC Supervisor oversees small team (2-3 people) of employees to produce quality machined parts. Must have knowledge of CNC programming, set up, in process adjustments, can give recommendations for improvements, and lead machining operations. Familiar with HAAS machines and programs a must. Maintains strict quality and safety standards, keeps accurate job tasking records for machining processes measuring actual dimensions, and maintains equipment and supplies. Maintains inventory control and forecasts material use demands.

Essential Responsibilities May Include:

*Monitors employee's work for accuracy.
*Creates instructions for machining parts.
*Reviews and adheres to to blueprints and company drawings.
*Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
*Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.
*Communicates with engineers regarding program errors and suggests corrections.
*Determines sequence of operations in a program.
*Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.
*Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs.
*Prepares and sets up CNC machines to run first parts.
*Tracks and keeps accurate work packets to include keen eye for details while materials are machined.
*Tracks employee hours and reports to supervisor employee time cards
