CNC Supervisor – 2nd Shift
 

Monday - Thursday 4:00 pm – 2:30 am
 

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
 

PFI Precision, Inc. is looking for a dynamic, talented CNC Supervisor looking for a challenging career opportunity. The successful candidate must be willing to run CNC machines, edit programs and set-up new CNC lathe jobs, train additional set-up people and operators, improve existing processes, hold people accountable while being respectful, and provide leadership to the team and organization. This is a hands-on position that will require some direct production work.
 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
 

  • Set up multiple Turning or Milling Machining Centers – (CNC Machines) involving intricate tooling in a wide range of close tolerance applications.
  • Assist in devising methods of machining new and difficult jobs.
  • Assist in scheduling and ordering tooling.
  • Instruct and train others.
  • Diagnose and correct problems of basic to medium difficulty, quickly and efficiently.
  • Make programming and job improvements.
  • Maintain production rate as documented in the process instructions.
  • Improve 5S activity in your area of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Oversee the entire second shift including other departments. Total number of employees on the second shift will be approximately 7-9 people.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Assist, as needed, in other functional areas of machining.
  • Work greater than 40 hours per week as required.
  • Responsible for supervising and directing all employees in CNC area.
  • Provide effective daily communication to first shift Supervisor, Managers and Maintenance.
  • Provide optimal quality of service to all customers – internal and external.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines as required.
  • Utilize personal and assigned tools to perform work assignments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives.
  • Hold team accountable in compliance with our ISO9000 quality system and Employee Handbook.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
 
 
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5-10+ years prior CNC manufacturing experience required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
