Second Shift Supervisor


West Unity, Oh Manufacturer is looking for a Second Shift Supervisor position.  This is a salaried position.

Second Shift Supervisor Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $28.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • Second Shift (Monday through Friday from 02:30pm to 11:30pm)
  • Responsible for supervising, training, and coordinating activities of associates within the cell
  • Responsible for quality within the cell
  • Responsible for coaching and counseling of associates
  • Preparation of all required production reports
  • Conducts weekly cell meetings
  • Administers daily overtime for lead person, and material handler within their cell
  • Monitors vacation requests and scheduling of vacation for lead person and material handler to attain adequate coverage
  • Completes Training/Evaluation Forms for new associates, material handlers and lead persons within the cell for 30/60-day intervals after associates are hired or start a new position

Second Shift Supervisor Qualifications:

  • Good communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills
  • Satisfactory work record, including attendance
  • Willingness to work overtime during the week and weekends when necessary
  • High degree of attention and care required to prevent injury to self and others
  • Ability to obtain a passport
  • Ability to stand, climb ladder onto machines, bending and stooping
  • Mental alertness to procedures/changes and to call for assistance when needed
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds infrequently
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
