Job description

Night Supervisor
Night Supervisor provides exceptional, person-centered care to residents while leading by example for other Resident Assistants. Acting as a mentor and resource, the Night Supervisor ensures the community consistently delivers the "Red Carpet Treatment" in accordance with individualized service and care plans. This position functions under the direction of the Healthcare Coordinator and may require performing hands-on care. Certification as a CNA is preferred but not required.
Essential Functions:
  • Lead by example, modeling care expectations and mentoring new and existing Resident Assistants.
  • Supervise staff, including those administering medications, and participate in new hire orientation and on boarding.
  • Provide personal care assistance per Individual Service Plans (ISP), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, ambulation, transfers, and medication reminders.
  • Record vital signs, maintain accurate resident progress notes, and communicate status changes to supervisors.
  • Promote resident engagement and independence, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Follow infection control procedures and standard precautions, uphold HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
  • Attend weekly meetings and mandatory training sessions, and participate in safety initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum one year supervising others in caregiver experience, preferably with elderly residents.
  • 2 years of dementia experience
  • Completion and passing of the medication management course and at least 12 hours of annual in-service education.
  • Professionalism and ability to handle emotionally charged situations with poise.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented approach.
  • Physical capability to assist residents with mobility, transfers, and daily living activities.

Qualifications:
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • CPR certified within 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Must have 2 years minimum working with dementia residents
  • Meet applicable health requirements and maintain required continuing education credits.
  • Has 1 year of experience supervising other employees
