The starting hourly wage for this role is $28/hr.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, OT as needed
1st shift: 5:30am - 2:30/3pm.
2nd shift: 2:30pm - midnight
Job Overview
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing the production activities and employee training and development to cost effectively produce a high quality finished product.
  • Support theRMP (Risk Management Process)by helping develop/maintain standards and driving corrective actions to closure.
  • Drivecontinuous improvementby gathering ideas from the line and implementing better methods.
  • Coordinate daily line/area operations tomeet or exceed safety, quality, sanitation/food safety, and productivitytargets.
  • Lead the team throughmeetings, training, coaching, cross-training, and performance management(goals, evaluations).
  • Ensure compliance withHeinz safety standardsand all applicableprocess/product/food safetyrequirements; maintain a safe workplace.
  • Managestaffing and labor costs, and ensure accuratetime/pay records.
  • Audit production documentation foraccuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor production to confirm the process is executed correctly, identify defects, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Respond toemergencies and changing conditions, making timely decisions and escalating/recommending actions as needed.
  • Maintain working knowledge ofequipment setup/operation/adjustments, and help create/update required documentation (e.g.,SOWI, JSA).
  • Perform other duties as assigned; workflexible hoursincluding nights, weekends, overtime as needed.

Physical/Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

  • Ability to work in all areas of the facility including hot and cold areas, and be exposed to wet and humid conditions.
  • Must be able to lift and or move up to 50 lbs or more.
  • Must have excellent vision, distant and peripheral, with the ability to identify and distinguish colors, and adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually high, and ear protection is required.
  • May work near moving mechanical parts, high and/or confining place
