Job Summary
The Client Partner is responsible for managing a portfolio of assigned Health Plan and PBM clients. This role focuses on client retention, revenue growth, contract renewals, and expanding the value clients receive from Surescripts solutions. Through consultative account management, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration, the Client Partner builds trusted relationships, helps clients achieve their business objectives, and drives mutual success for clients and Surescripts.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee a portfolio of assigned Health Plan and PBM clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, coordinating access to internal expertise and resources.
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned with customer objectives and Surescripts business goals.
  • Drive revenue growth through contract renewals, expansion opportunities, and increased solution utilization.
  • Maintain responsibility for customer retention, contract renewals, and revenue expansion within existing accounts.
  • Manage inbound sales and account growth opportunities within assigned customer accounts and established revenue thresholds.
  • Identify and develop cross-sell opportunities within existing customer relationships.
  • Lead customer initiatives and contracting efforts, including large-scale programs, upgrades, and migration activities.
  • Partner with implementation, product, operations, and support teams to deliver positive customer experience and achieve business objectives.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks impacting customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Build relationships with customer stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), executive business reviews, strategic planning sessions, and customer workshops.
  • Analyze customer performance metrics, provide business insights, and develop recommendations that support customer objectives.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and provide updates on customer health, revenue opportunities, and risks.
  • Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to help improve products, services, and customer experience.
  • Stay informed on healthcare industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the healthcare or healthcare technology industry. Ideally supporting health plans, payers, or PBM clients.
  • 5+ years of account management and/or sales experience.
  • Experience managing customer relationships and engaging stakeholders at multiple organizational levels, including executive leadership.
  • Experience developing and delivering Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), business reviews, or customer presentations.
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data and business insights to customers.
  • Experience managing revenue opportunities, account planning, forecasting, and customer growth initiatives.
  • Experience identifying and developing expansion or cross-sell opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Strong communication, planning, organizational, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve revenue, retention, or strategic customer objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.

  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
  • Experience supporting or leading contract renewals.

At Surescripts, base pay is one part of our Total Rewards Package (which may also include bonus, benefits etc.) and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is $98,600 - $120,500 per year. Your base pay may vary within or outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
