It is the digital consulting arm of Mercer, the world's largest HR consulting firm, and part of Marsh McLennan, the world's leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy, and people. Mercer Digital specializes in business and cloud consulting, with a goal of transforming our clients' businesses by leveraging expertise in AI, HR Tech, big data, cloud computing, and enterprise services.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead and oversee a portfolio of HR Digital Transformation programs, ensuring alignment with client business goals and Mercer's innovative HR technology vision.
  • Serve as the Executive Sponsor for high-impact projects, providing strategic guidance and delivering compelling presentations to C-suite stakeholders.
  • Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of Project Managers, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and agile project delivery.
  • Establish and enforce program governance frameworks, KPIs, and digital workflows to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of HR solutions like Workday implementations and analytics platforms.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior executives and HR leaders, translating complex technical and strategic objectives into clear, value-driven outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and empower a team of Project Managers, fostering a high-performance culture, promoting innovation, and supporting professional growth in agile, hybrid, and digital project management methodologies.
  • Program Governance: Establish and enforce robust governance frameworks, including standardized processes, KPIs, and digital workflows, to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of HR technology solutions, such as Workday implementations and HR analytics platforms.
  • C-Level Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with C-suite executives and HR leaders, translating complex technical and strategic objectives into clear, value-driven outcomes.
  • Financial Stewardship: Oversee program budgets using cloud-based financial tools, ensuring cost transparency, optimal resource allocation, and maximum ROI across the portfolio.
  • Risk & Change Leadership: Anticipate and mitigate risks across programs, implementing data-driven change management processes to adapt to evolving project scopes while maintaining alignment with client goals.
  • Innovation Advocacy: Drive the adoption of cutting-edge HR technologies, including AI, robotic process automation (RPA), and cloud-based integrations, to enhance operational efficiency and deliver measurable business impact.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Lead collaboration across global, multi-national teams, integrating HR tech ecosystems with broader business strategies, such as talent mobility, digital employee wellness, and predictive HR analytics.
  • Delivery Excellence: Set and continuously refine delivery standards, leveraging interactive dashboards, virtual town halls, and tech-enabled communication to ensure transparency and stakeholder alignment.
  • Compliance & Security Oversight: Ensure all programs comply with internal policies and external regulations, including stringent data privacy and security standards for HR systems.
  • Client Growth Opportunities: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand Mercer's service offerings, such as HR analytics, digital transformation consulting, or employee experience solutions, to deepen client relationships and drive business growth.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead post-implementation reviews, trend analysis, and predictive risk assessments to innovate and optimize future HR processes and program outcomes.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's Degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in program management, consulting, or client-facing roles working with global teams, with at least 7 years leading HR Digital Transformation initiatives, preferably with Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire teams of Project Managers in hybrid or remote environments, with a track record of driving high-performance outcomes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with expertise in engaging C-suite executives, facilitating virtual presentations, and translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset, with experience leveraging HR data analytics, predictive modeling, and digital process optimization to drive decision-making.
  • Deep expertise in project and program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, SAFe, PMP, or equivalent certifications).
  • Advanced proficiency with tools such as Office365, Microsoft Project, Power BI, Tableau, Jira, Smartsheets, and/or Asana. Extensive hands-on experience with Workday (HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, or Analytics modules) and knowledge of HR tech trends like AI, RPA, or cloud integrations. Workday Certification strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, global HR technology implementations, with a focus on delivering measurable business value and fostering long-term client partnerships.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional, multi-national teams and foster collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion for driving innovation in HR through emerging technologies and continuous process improvement.

Why join our team:
