Serving as a trusted advisor and executive point of contact, the CDE develops a deep understanding of each client's business, strategic priorities, operating environment, and evolving needs.Working across health plans, pharmacy benefit organizations, and other healthcare organizations, the CDE connects client priorities with SS&C Health's capabilities across technology, pharmacy, operations, data, and services.   • Serve as the senior relationship leader and primary executive point of contact for assigned strategic healthcare clients.
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders across health plans, PBMs, pharmacy organizations, and other healthcare organizations.
  • Build a deep understanding of each client's business strategy, market dynamics, operating model, technology environment, regulatory priorities, and long-term objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive client strategy and account plan that identifies priorities, relationship opportunities, risks, growth opportunities, and executive engagement needs.
  • Serve as the voice of the client within SS&C Health, ensuring client priorities and concerns are understood and addressed across Product, Technology, Operations, Implementation, Sales, Finance, and other teams.
  • Provide executive oversight of the overall client experience and ensure SS&C consistently delivers against contractual commitments, strategic priorities, and client expectations.
  • Proactively identify relationship, operational, delivery, and commercial risks and mobilize the appropriate internal leaders before issues materially impact the client.
  • Lead executive governance, business reviews, strategic planning sessions, and other senior-level client interactions.
  • Coordinate executive sponsorship and ensure appropriate SS&C leadership engagement across the client relationship.
  • Partner with Product and Technology leaders to connect client priorities with SS&C Health's product strategy, roadmap, and investment areas.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the healthcare market, including payer operations, pharmacy and PBM dynamics, healthcare technology, regulatory trends, and emerging client needs.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the relationship by connecting client business challenges with additional SS&C Health capabilities and solutions.
  • Partner closely with Sales on account growth while maintaining primary focus on the long-term health, value, and strategic strength of the client relationship.
  • Maintain a clear view of overall client health, including satisfaction, executive relationships, delivery performance, financial performance, risks, renewal outlook, and growth potential.
  • Act as an executive escalation point when significant issues arise, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and timely resolution.
  • Drive strong client retention and establish SS&C Health as a strategic partner rather than simply a technology or services vendor.
Required Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare, with significant experience managing complex, enterprise-level client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the health payer and/or pharmacy ecosystem, including health plans, PBMs, pharmacy operations, healthcare technology, claims administration, or related services.
  • Demonstrated success building trusted relationships with C-suite and senior healthcare executives.
  • Experience managing large, complex accounts involving multiple products, services, stakeholders, and internal delivery teams.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to navigate difficult conversations, influence decisions, resolve conflict, and build alignment across organizations.
  • Ability to translate client business objectives into actionable priorities for internal product, technology, operations, and service teams.
  • Commercial mindset with experience supporting client retention, renewals, account expansion, and strategic growth.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization and mobilize cross-functional teams without relying on direct authority.
  • Strong judgment and ability to recognize emerging client risks, determine when executive intervention is needed, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or equivalent healthcare industry experience preferred.
