Job description

Description
ActioNet is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the delivery of a complex wireless communications technology deployment. This role will be responsible for end-to-end program execution, including planning, design coordination, installation oversight, testing, and customer engagement, ensuring successful delivery of a resilient communications solution.
Part Time/Contract Role / Estimated Duration: 9 months
Location: Remote / CONUS with occasional travel
Key Responsibilities:
The Program Manager will:
  • Serve as the primary interface with government customers, technical teams, and key stakeholders
  • Lead execution of the full project lifecycle:
    • Project kickoff and planning
    • Site surveys and solution design coordination
    • Installation and integration
    • Testing, training, and project closeout
  • Manage and track:
    • Project schedule and milestones
    • Risks, issues, and dependencies
    • Deliverables and acceptance criteria
  • Coordinate across:
    • Internal technical and program teams
    • Technology partners and subcontractors
    • Customer stakeholders
  • Lead design reviews and approval processes
  • Oversee installation activities, ensuring alignment with approved designs and technical requirements
  • Support execution of test plans, system validation, and customer acceptance activities
  • Ensure delivery of required technical documentation, including:
    • Site survey documentation
    • Design packages
    • As-built documentation
    • Test and acceptance reports
  • Manage onsite and remote support activities
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with contractual requirements
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership and customers

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience managing telecommunications, wireless, or network infrastructure deployments
  • Experience with modern wireless communications technologies, including LTE, 5G, broadband, or mobile networking solutions
  • Proven ability to manage multi-vendor technical environments
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Network deployment and integration
    • Wireless infrastructure and communications systems
    • Installation and field operations
  • Experience supporting DoD or Federal customers
  • Ability to manage technical teams, engineers, and field personnel
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, if required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with:
    • Advanced wireless communication systems
    • Tactical, expeditionary, or mission-critical communications environments
    • Large-scale technology deployments
  • PMP certification (or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting domestic or international deployments
  • Familiarity with:
    • Design approval processes
    • Technical review workflows
    • Test, validation, and acceptance procedures
