Sammamish Presbyterian Church
Job Summary
Sammamish Presbyterian Church (SPC) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Custodian to provide high-quality custodial services for the church campus. This role ensures that all facilities are clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming for worship, ministry activities, staff, and community use.
The Custodian supports SPC's mission by maintaining interior cleanliness, assisting with event setup and teardown, and helping keep the campus ministry-ready at all times.
Responsibilities
Custodial Duties
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain all interior spaces, including worship areas, classrooms, offices, hallways, and restrooms.
  • Vacuum and mop floors; empty trash and recycling.
  • Clean and restock restrooms and common areas.
  • Dust and wipe surfaces; clean interior glass and windows as needed.
  • Monitor and restock custodial supplies; report needs to the Director of Operations.
  • Assist with event and meeting setup and teardown.
  • Maintain overall tidiness and presentation of the church campus.
  • Perform additional custodial duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely operate custodial equipment and cleaning tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Must provide documentation establishing identity and authorization to work in the United States.

Compensation
  • Pay Rate: $18 - $22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
