Location: Shelby, NC
PayStarting at $20.00/hour (Higher based on experience)
Job TypePart-Time
Schedule: (12 PM – 4 PM) or (1 PM – 5 PM) | Approximately 4 Hours Per Week 
 
About the Role
Personnel Services Unlimited (PSU) is seeking an experienced Part-Time Church Bookkeeper for a local church in Shelby, NC.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeping professional looking for a flexible, approximately 4-hour-per-week position. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a faith-based office environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Maintain financial records using QuickBooks.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting.
  • Process accounts payable and pay invoices accurately and on time.
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain organized financial records.
  • Enter financial data and maintain spreadsheets.
  • Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist office visitors as needed.
  • Support the church’s day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative needs.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and budgets.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Friendly personality with excellent phone and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
  • Comfortable working in a faith-based office environment with professionalism and respect
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check
