Bethany Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated, dependable, and faith-centered 3rd Grade Christian School Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for an educator who is committed to academic excellence, strong classroom structure, biblical values, and the overall development of each student.
The 3rd Grade Teacher will be responsible for leading a self-contained elementary classroom and providing instruction in core subject areas, including Reading, Language Arts, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Bible. The teacher must be able to create a classroom environment that is organized, nurturing, disciplined, engaging, and Christ-centered.
This position requires a teacher who can manage a classroom effectively, build strong relationships with students, communicate professionally with parents, and work collaboratively with school leadership and staff. The ideal candidate understands that teaching is both instructional and relational. Students should be challenged academically while also being supported spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver daily instruction for 3rd grade students in Reading, Language Arts, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Bible.
- Create and maintain a structured, positive, and Christ-centered classroom environment.
- Prepare weekly lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum, pacing expectations, and academic goals.
- Use the school-approved curriculum and instructional resources with consistency and professionalism.
- Provide clear explanations, guided practice, independent practice, and review to help students master grade-level standards.
- Differentiate instruction to support students who are below grade level, on grade level, and above grade level.
- Use student data, classwork, assessments, and observations to guide instruction and provide academic support.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and families.
- Maintain accurate grades, attendance records, lesson plans, behavior documentation, and required classroom records.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding student progress, behavior, academic concerns, and classroom updates.
- Establish clear classroom routines, procedures, expectations, and consequences.
- Maintain strong classroom management while creating an environment where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged.
- Integrate biblical principles, Christian values, prayer, Scripture, and character development into the classroom environment.
- Help students develop responsibility, respect, discipline, integrity, kindness, and a strong work ethic.
- Prepare students for school assessments, academic benchmarks, MAP Growth testing, classroom assessments, and other required evaluations.
- Use academic tools and platforms such as IXL, MAP Growth, NWEA resources, and other school-approved programs when assigned.
- Support school-wide academic goals, behavior expectations, chapel experiences, special events, field trips, and student activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, teacher trainings, parent meetings, and school events as required.
- Work collaboratively with administration, lead teachers, support staff, and other faculty members.
- Follow all school policies, procedures, safety expectations, and professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, staff, and school matters.
- Demonstrate professionalism in communication, appearance, punctuality, preparation, and conduct.
Qualifications:
- Teaching experience is preferred, especially in elementary education.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children is required.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Florida teaching certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience in a Christian school, private school, or faith-based educational environment is a plus.
- Experience with BJU Press curriculum is a plus.
- Experience with MAP Growth, IXL, NWEA, student data tracking, or intervention planning is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills are required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Must be organized, dependable, professional, teachable, and consistent.
- Must be able to build healthy relationships with students while maintaining authority and structure.
- Must be comfortable teaching Bible and integrating Christian values into the classroom.
- Must support the mission, values, and Christian foundation of Bethany Christian Academy.

Work Environment:
- Bethany Christian Academy is a private Christian school located in Orlando, Florida. Our school serves students and families in a faith-based academic environment. We are committed to developing students who are prepared for the future through strong academics, biblical values, character development, and a supportive school culture.
- This is a full-time teaching position. The teacher will work on campus during regular school hours and will be expected to participate in required meetings, trainings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
