Regional Director of School Age Childcare
The Granite YMCA- Somersworth
Full-Time, Exempt
Salary: $58,000 - $64,000
Are you a passionate leader with experience in youth development and childcare management? The Granite YMCA is seeking a Regional Director of School Age Childcare to oversee multiple licensed school-age childcare programs in the Somersworth, Dover, Portsmouth area. The position will support staff development, ensure program quality, and build strong relationships with children, families, schools, and community partners.
What You'll Do
  • Provide leadership and oversight for multiple school-age childcare sites.
  • Ensure compliance with NH Child Care Licensing regulations and YMCA standards.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise program directors and staff.
  • Manage budgets, enrollment goals, and program performance.
  • Support risk management, quality improvement, and recordkeeping.
  • Build relationships with families, schools, and community organizations.
  • Travel regularly between childcare sites and YMCA branches throughout the region.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience, including 3+ years managing youth programs.
  • At least 7 years of experience working with children in a developmental setting.
  • Ability to meet NH Child Care Licensing requirements of a site director
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel between program locations.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
