JOB LOCATION : SGMC Patient Financial Services
DEPARTMENT: PATIENT FINANCIAL SERVICES
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift,
POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees and/or conducts managed care contract negotiations and impact analysis for all SGMC Health entities, to include acute care hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, transportation, home health care, urgent care centers, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, and employed physicians. Directs contract related financial modeling and analysis. Negotiates fee for services, pay-for-performance and other value-based contracts and participates in the performance review of such contracts across the SGMC Health enterprise. Monitors payer activity to ensure their compliance with contractual and regulatory terms and provisions. Supervises staff members in the performance of their related duties and responsibilities.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelors Degree in Health Management, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted at hiring manager's discretion.
  • MBA, MHA or CPA preferred.
  • CHFP/FHFMA preferred.
  • Relevant Epic Certification(s) preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • 10+ years of experience in Health Care Finance or Managed Care industry.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Experience in or knowledge of managed care business/organizations and their practices.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Must be a team player who strives for excellence and is dedicated to outstanding customer service.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office - Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point is also required.
  • Knowledge of EPIC systems strongly preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
