Title: Payroll Manager
Location: El Segundo, CA
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $125-160K

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee multi-state payroll operations and support the Director of Payroll & Benefits. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, supporting audits, and leading payroll team initiatives.

Job Duties:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll
  • Manage payroll tax reporting, deposits, and filings
  • Maintain payroll and timekeeping systems, including upgrades and testing
  • Review garnishments, wage deductions, levies, and child support orders
  • Support payroll compliance and internal control initiatives
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and reporting requests
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to payroll staff
  • Identify and implement process improvements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of multi-state payroll management experience
  • Must have Ceridian/Dayforce experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax reporting, and compliance
  • Experience with payroll systems and timekeeping software
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
